Samsung 1080p Dvd Recorder Vcr Be Warned! How To Properly Connect Older Components To A New LCD TV.?

How to properly connect older components to a new LCD TV.? - samsung 1080p dvd recorder vcr be warned!

My husband bought a new Samsung LCD TV HDTV 1080p. It has 4 different points in order to establish a connection. 1) no HDMI VCR. DVD Player 2) no HDMI 3) the digital cable box from Comcast (I think I might have an HDMI connector) 4) VCR / DVD recorder, HDMI port. He said they must have a certain way, otherwise you can not, for example, the transfer of our wedding video on DVD. Can all of these elements, especially when they are older (within 5 years)? Who knows how to do this?

1) Cable for Samsung VCR with a composite video cable, since that is recorded as the video resolution.

2) the cable from the DVD to the TV with a composite video cable.

3) Close the Comcast HD box to the TV via an HDMI cable.

4) Do not connect the VCR / DVD on Comcast cable box via a coaxial cable to to record HD channels. Use a coaxial cable or component video / audio cable TV for playback.
